Paint Line

General Description

The paint line is a modern (Year 2002) fully automated and integrated design, built and designed by a leading European Company.  The line operates in a ”wet” process, continuous and or stop and go operating modus, powered from floor through port, 102 sec cycle for parts dimension 1.2 by 1.2 meter; with 4 robot cells.  Loading and unloading is designed outside the process area, but being operated in the same space.  The entire line is a play and plug system, that allows assembly/disassembly without welding or cutting in the assembly/disassembly operation.  All material is INOX, painting cabinets fully air-conditioned; dispersion or solvent based paint compatible.

Details Process

1. 3-Zone pre treatment plant
    -  Semi - Alkaline degreasing
    -  Rinsing #1
    -  Rinsing # 2 with DI water
2. VE Water plant
3. Adhesive Water Drier
4. Cooling Zone for adhesive Water Drier
5. Ionization (before paint and in both spray Booths.)
6. 2 Spray Booth (water separators and automatic discharge; automatic paint feed; automatic control (climate) air and humidity.
7. Air circulation Plant
    - Primer and Top Coat application

The line is currently used for plastic parts, but potentially possible to convert to also paint metal parts.  For metal parts it will be necessary to add a pre-treatment (zinc phosphate) and smaller changes in the coagulation.
