Registration and Log in:  If you wish to place a bid or sell an item you must first register.  If you have registered in the past, your log in name is your email address.  If you have forgotten your password, you can click HERE and it will be emailed to you.   If you are having a problem logging in, please email us and describe the problem.

Bid on Equipment is an online marketplace where companies advertise surplus equipment for sale.   Although it is set up in an auction format, these are NOT absolute auctions.   Sellers set reserve prices (which are not published) and they are not obligated to sell below their reserve.   Listings typically last 180 days but can be renewed indefinitely.

When a bid is placed, the seller is immediately notified.   The seller then has the option of accepting the bid, making a counter offer or simply ignoring the bid and waiting for a higher one.  Bidders are always free to raise their bids even if no one else has bid after them.

When a buyer and seller agree on a price, the buyer is given a reasonable amount of time to visit the seller's premises and inspect the equipment (if he wishes) before completing the purchase.  In most cases, a 20% deposit is required before inspection.  The deposit is refunded if buyer does not complete the purchase for any reason.
