Up for sale is a Diagraph Linx 4800 in excellent condition. It was well maintained during it's use.
This unit can print a single line of 14 dots high, single line 7 dots high, or single line 5 dots high (at a very high speed). It can also print two lines of 7 dots each (like the test print in the photo) - or two lines - one 7 dot and one 5 dot. It has the Bold feature which prints a double set of dots for each character.
Plus, of course, also the time, date, julian day, expiration date (use by / best by), serial numbers/counter, etc and a few other features.
This unit can store 5 messages, and is much easier to program than the Linx 4900, 6800, 6900, or 7300.
This unit had been sitting unused for a number of years. Before being stored, it was flushed by the local employee for the Diagraph corporation.
The unit had its filter, damper, and ink and solvent dip tubes replaced before it was de-commissioned.
I had the unit reflushed with solvent. It was then drained, inked up, calibrated, adjusted, and run for about 10 plus hours with no problems whatsoever. So this unit will not need service (filters etc) for another 1400 hours.
The unit is currently ready to be seen running onsite if you would like to do that.
(Some BOE rules/terms may apply - ask your salesperson)
I can send you more photos and a video of the printer running if you are unable to make a trip to see it.
The unit is currently set up for MEK ink, but can be converted to other inks. I can help with your printing application - I have about 15 years working on industrial inkjets.
Included with the printer is a high speed Tri-Tronics photocell, or I will include whatever type of photocell you need for your application. It can also be triggered from a PLC if necessary. (I'll build you a cable).
I am also including TWO HOURS of phone support to help you commission the printer with ink, get it installed on the line, and get it programmed with your message. I also can find you a technician to install it onsite.
(you would have to negotiate price/costs with them).
Available (but not included) is a Floor stand, or a shaft encoder which is for variable line speeds, or to stop the printer from completing it's print should the conveyer shut down in the middle of a print. I also have a combi pack of MEK ink and solvent. (4 bottles of ink, and 6 bottles of solvent) That should last you for a month or two.
Some of the above items may be negotiable if you pay my asking price or close to it.
There may be another identical unit available.
