Sludge Separator, Brand: Huber Technology, Model: Rotamat, Capacity: 18,000Lt
Unit is a Stainless Steel slurry de-watering system designed by AJM Environmental Services. System consists of stainless steel rectangular feed tank approx 18,000 ltr capacity, 3950mm L x 1840mm W x 2550mm H with 350mm product inlet & outlet. The slurry is passed through a rotating stainless steel mesh wire screen where it is separating the liquid & solid waste. The solid product is conveyed from the tank by a 350mm dia screw conveyor, and the liquid waste is discharged from the bottom of the tank. Approx 3900mm high.
The ROTAMAT Wedge Section Screen is installed into the channel and/or the container at an inclination of 35 deg. The wastewater gets to the wedge wire drum via the open front side and flows through the wedge wire. Depending on the bar spacing separation of materials that are floating, settling and suspended takes place. By blocking the screen area an additional screening effect can be achieved which exceeds the existing bar spacing noticeably. The special shape of the wedge wire ensures that the screenings stick to the drum and reduces the danger of a clogged screen area as far as possible. If due to the screen area blockage, a certain water level is reached in front of the plant, the machine starts working. The screenings are removed by means of the rotating wedge wire drum.
With the help of a scraper brush and a spray bar the screenings are thrown into a storage hopper which is centrically arranged in the drum. The screw conveyor in the hopper which is fixedly linked to the drum transports the screenings discharged to the closed rising pipe. By means of the integrated screenings washing, the soluble components are washed out of the screen and returned to the wastewater stream. The conveying screw transports, dehydrates and compacts the screenings without any odor annoyance and throws them into the provided container. The discharged screenings have a solid content of up to 40 % DR.
