    Description

    DESCRIPTION:
Fully automatic, universal, continuous flow sterilizing tunnel machine. B&S installations are ideal for sterilization of glass containers, injection bottles, infusion bottles, ampoules, cartridges and ready-to-use syringes. This model is impressive due to a short dwell time in the tunnel which is the result of the hot air laminar flow process with its high degree of efficiency.

    SECTORS OF USE:
    Pharmaceutical container sterilization.

    MAIN FEATURES:
Sterilizing tunnels are used in pharmaceutical filling lines to sterilize glass containers before they are aseptically filled. They give the repeatable accuracy necessary for successful validation, qualification, and reliable production capacity. The ampoules washed and still partly wet, come in quantity from the previous machine, and are pushed on to the conveyor belt by the discharge mechanism. The conveyor belt travels in about 45 minutes in intermittent steps through 3 different zones, drying, sterilizing, and cooling. A supply of air at the entry point of the conveyor provides and excess air pressure in the tunnel serving on the one hand for drying and on the other as a barrier against ingress of external air. Heating elements are provided in the middle of the tunnel around the conveyor belt which heat the ampoules to the sterilizing temperature desired, generally up to 400°C. The ampoules are cooled in the third zone by an air current and an extract fan. At the end of the conveyor belt the ampoules are pushed over a transfer plate to the conveyor belt of the following machine where the ampoules are filled and sealed. The intermittent motion of the conveyor belt is controlled through a time relay and micro-switches fitted at the infeed. Optimum accessibility and ease of operation.
