Description

Centrifugal decanter BABY 2 with back drive,
screw conveyor, electrical and electronic devices necessary for the full operation of the equipment including #2 VFD (variable frequency drivers);
all built in a movable steel cage as per attached pictures.
The decanter has been fully operational until we upgraded to a bigger machine. Power is 460V/3ph and has its own transformer for connection at 600V.
The electrical panel can manage a feed pump, a discharge pump and a polymer supply valve (not included with machine).

Thank you. I do have a couple of questions. 1) For what was the decanter previously used? In what process? 2) How long was it used/how long has it been sitting? 3) Is the capacity/flow accurate? Thank you

Here is the answers: 1) It was used for processing seaweed juice, separating the solid fraction from the liquid fraction; 2) It was used 3-4 months per year from 2006 to 2010 (5 years). It has been sitting since then. If we have an accepted offer, we will connect it and start it up, taking a video for proof; 3) Capacity and flow rate are very much dependent on the product that is processed, especially the difference in specific gravity of the fractions that need to be separated. Each product is different, in our case the flow rate was less than the 1200 Lt/hr declared by manufacturer, but the differential specific gravity of our solid/liquid fraction was very little. Thanks

What was is material the centrifuge is made from? SS? Roughly with rate capacity would the unit have? Thanks

The decanter is SS and it was used to process seaweed. Flow rate capacity depends on the differential specific gravity of the liquid fraction and the solid fraction that you want to separate. The manufacturer told us 1,200 lt/hr, but with our product we only could use it at 400 lt/hr because the specific gravity difference between our solid fraction and the liquid fraction is very little.

Hello, We might be interested in the Pieralisi decanter. Is the 1200 L/hr the standard feed flow rate for this decanter?

The flow rate of a centrifuge depends on the difference between the specific gravity of the fractions that you are trying to separate. The 1200 Lt/hr is what the manufacturer declares. Pieralisi are leaders in the manufacturing of centrifuges used in the olive oil industry, so I guess that their 1200 Lt/hr is based on the processing of olive oil.
