BOWL: Bowl bottom, bowl top, and piston of high tensile strength duplex (1.4462) stainless steel.
DISC SET: Stainless steel for the highest clarifying efficiency and ease of cleaning.
CLEAN IN PLACE: The separator bowl can be cleaned in place by circulation of cleaning solution through the separator and the connected piping.
FEED & DISCHARGE: Gentle feed design. Effluent is discharged foam-free by a built-in stainless steel centripetal pump. Product contacts exclusively stainless steel surfaces for increased machine life and product purity.
SOLIDS DISCHARGE: Intermittent through ports in the bowl periphery. Bowl equipped with patented Westfalia Hydro stop Ejection System, which permits extremely fast and precise partial ejections. This provides the highest possible solids concentration while maintaining excellent product clarity.
HOOD: Stainless steel.
SLUDGE CYCLONE: Stainless steel.
FRAME: Heavy cast iron with an epoxy grey finish. Equipped with speed pickup, brakes, and lube oil sight glass.
DRIVE: Power transmission from the motor via a flat belt.
MOTOR: 21 kW (28.2 Hp) high-efficiency Motor, TEFC, 60 cycle, 460 volts. Motor windings are equipped with thermistors for over-temperature protection.
TOOLS, ACCESSORIES, & SPARE PARTS: Included are a set of factory tools for machine maintenance, accessories, and a set of startup spare parts.
OPERATING WATER LINE: Includes solenoids, metering piston, pressure regulator, and water strainer.
GASKETS: Main bowl gasket of nylon (Polyamid). All other product contact gaskets are made of Buna N rubber.
VIBRATION MONITOR: Solid-state electronic monitor with dual limits (high and high-high) set points, and 4-20 mA output.
DESCRIPTION OF MOTOR STARTER WITH AC INVERTER:
The NEMA 12 carbon steel inverter panel is equipped with magnetic breakers for the protection of the motor with overload setting parameters built into the inverter during processing time. The VFD is preprogrammed for soft start acceleration. The AC inverter is a solid state, adjustable frequency drive utilizing the latest microprocessor technology interfacing for speed reached, over speed, and inverter fault conditions.
Includes terminal strip for wiring to motor start and stop pushbuttons and start-run pilot lights in the remote main panel.
460 volt, 3 phase, 60 hertz, main current with 24 volt control circuit. Mounted in painted carbon steel enclosure.
DESCRIPTION OF LOCAL CONTROL PANEL:
The PLC Control Panel is a NEMA 4 stainless steel enclosure (approximately 30 x 30 x 12) equipped with an Allen Bradley Compac Logic PLC, equipped with a Panelview 1000 Plus color touch.
The front panel face includes an Allen-Bradley 10” Color Graphic display along with Start, Stop, E-Stop, and Alarm Light.
The program supervises the separator discharges, operating water pressure, motor temperature, bowl speed, and motor amperage. The Panelview screens give clear access to the operator for using and displaying program functions, settings, and alarms, and includes the display of bowl speed, amperage, and process states. The Panelview function keys have been preprogrammed as fast keys for critical and frequently used functions.
