Description

Edlund 625A-PP Crown Punch Can Opener with Edlund 980A Can Washer & Crusher System

Edlund 625A-PP Crown Punch can opening system with enclosed built in air compressor.
Can opener is factory installed on the top of the cabinet base. All stainless steel construction, the base has a lockable door area on the left, where a Dewalt air compressor sits and is hooked up to the can opener. On the other side, it's another area where the lids would drop into, and where you would would put a garbage can. Unit runs off two power cords, one for the air compressor, which supplies the air for the opener, and the power cord for the opener. Can opener has a 603 blade installed on it. We do not have the key for it though, not sure if it is needed or its just to open up the top cover area.

All stainless steel construction.

The Edlund 980A consists of the washer area, where you would feed the cans into. And also, the crusher area where it crushed the can, and knocks it to the front to the area where it would come down into the cabinet, where you would put a garbage bin.

The washer does have one line cut, as they were installed it. It is the cord/line for the sensor to know there is a can in the line/wash area. It will needs a new thin gauge line installed/wire back to where it was cut. Also, the pvc water line that connects the water from the crusher area to the wash area is cut, its a simple $5 PVC line, maybe 20 inches long. just connect and disconnect from the clamp. These were both cut when they were moving this system out of the facility.

The crusher area seems fine, as the can comes through, it sensors the can, knocks it to the front, crushes it, then as the next can comes, it knocks the crushed can into the bin area and the next can is in the crushed area.

This is all 300 series stainless construction.

This whole system is all stainless steel. This unit was purchased in 2010 for a prison. From what we were told, it was used used for about 3 years, then left in the "Can Opening Room" until June 2020, when we moved it out. Almost anywhere you see there is an opening, so where the can feeds, the controls, the cabinet area, they all have lockable hinges. Same with the can opener, both doors are lockable. All the screws we see on the wash system are tamperproof stainless screws. But same with this unit, we do not have the tamperproof key for the control box to see the inside of the controls where the on/off is.
