Description

DESCRIPTION:
Cyclone dust collectors are used to break down powders with not too fine particle size; their filtration efficiency is proportionate to the size of the powders and their specific weight; the greater the grain size and weight, the greater the efficiency. These filters are used in pneumatic conveying systems, or as pre-filtration of filters in applications where dust concentrations are very high, or in the recovery of reusable powders for sandblasting and powder coating plants.

SECTORS OF USE:
Pharmaceutical, chemical, cosmetics, food, dietary, medical devices, manufacturing.

MAIN FEATURES:
The cyclonic filter is an industrial dust collector with no moving parts in which the separation of dust occurs essentially by centrifugal force. Structurally a cyclonic filter is composed of a tangential dust air inlet to produce a rotation of the air such as to create a vortex, an upper axial outlet and a lower axial dust discharge. The body of the cyclonic filter consists of a cylindrical part, where there is both the inlet of the air to be treated and the exit of the dust-free air extended inside the body of the cyclone, and a conical part on which the dust is placed at the bottom. The dusty air enters tangentially into the cylindrical part and when it goes down it turns into a swirling motion with an axial component towards the bottom of the conical part in the direction of the dust discharge. Dust particles are projected against the walls of the filter whose surface is suitably constructed to allow the same particles after losing their forces during the impact to fall by gravity to the lower part where they are removed. The cyclonic filter is universally used in the abatement of preferably dry particles having high specific gravity and coarse size present in the air in fairly high concentrations. It is recommended as a pre-filter upstream of dust collectors but can also be used as a unique filter in pneumatic transport.
