The Wave Biotech CO2MIX20 is used to inflate and aerate the Cellbag bioreactors with air containing a variable carbon dioxide (CO2) concentration. CO2 from a pipeline or cylinder is connected to the CO2 port. Air is drawn from the AIR IN port and mixed with the CO2. An internal CO2 sensor measures the CO2 concentration and controls the CO2 concentration in the outlet gas to any user-specified value from 0 up to 15%. The CO2 conditioned air is pumped from the MIX OUT port into the headspace of the Cellbag bioreactor to maintain bag pressure, and to provide air and carbon dioxide for aeration and pH control.
