Description

Used Werner & Pfleiderer conical counter-rotating twin screw extruder. Type # CRP 104, serial# 180115, project # 84 3220.

Screws are 102.2 mm at feed tapering to 75.5 mm at discharge. Approximately 17:1 L/D ratio (screws are 1569 mm long).

Unit is powered by a 7.5 HP Reliance DC motor, 1750/2300 rpm and has an Allen Bradley programmable controller.

Screw shaft speed 6-60 rpm. 41″ centerline height, electric heat, liquid cooled, with temperature control panel.

Machine was originally designed and built for continuous polymerization and extrusion of nylon type strand.
