ThePerseptive BioSystems Pioneer Peptide Synthesis Systemdeveloped with the aim of improving the efficiency and speed by removing excess reagents with and continual solvent flow through a packed column containing a solid support. A glass column with filters at the top and bottom replaces the reaction vessel. The system incorporates a positive displacement pump to enable continuous fluid flow at a variety of flow rates. Valves provide for selection of solvent and reactant flow through the resin bed to waste as well as for the introduction and recirculation of the acylating species during the coupling reaction.
