Description
The Bio Rad PTC-200 is a traditional Thermal Cycler is built on the old MJ Research platform. The flexible design of this thermo cycler has the ability to use a variety of alpha blocks configured for different microplates, tubes and slides. The easy to use Bio Rad PTC-200 PCR system includes a built-in gradient feature which works exclusively with 96 well block. System comes with built-in protocols used for ramping and cooling, along with additional memory banks for user to build their own PCR run.

The temperature range of the Bio Rad PTC-200 Thermal Cycler is 0 to 100C and ramp rate is 3 per second. Thermal cycler has excellent temperature uniformity allowing for applications to easily be repeatable. System comes with built in microprocessor, push button controls and easy to read LCD panel.

Thermal range: 5 to 105C, but no more than 30C below ambient temperature (4 to 100C for the Slide Chambers Alpha unit)

Thermal uniformity: 0.4C well-to-well within 30 seconds of arrival at 90C (for most Alpha units; see specifications for individual Alpha units
Ramping speed: Up to 3C/sec for all single- and dual-block Alpha units; up to 1.2C/sec for the Slide Chambers Alpha unit
