The Baker Sterilgard SG603 is a Class II Biosafety Cabinet that takes in room air, filters through HEPA filtration, and uses it to create a high-velocity air curtain. The air is drawn down and split at the rear and front of the work surface into the perforations, then drawn back up through the drain pan area and out the exhaust HEPA filter. This is an A2 model that exhausts filtered air back into the room and is ideal for agents of low to moderate risk. Negative cabinet pressure and external seals in this Baker BSC surround the work area and also surround the internal positive pressure seal. The cabinet can handle a 300% increase in pressure drop across the filter without losing more than 10% in total air delivery.The Baker SG603 Class II Biosafety Cabinet is a high efficiency model with the Stediflow airflow management system, built to constantly monitor and adjust the motor as needed, using less energy and extending the life of the HEPA filter. This system also exhausts less heat into the room saving on cooling costs compared to a normal model.This Baker BSC has easy-to-access filtration, accessible from the front for easy service. The interior of the cabinet features one wall construction, with rounded corners to make clean up easier and to prevent the build-up of contaminants.
