Custom base controlling with Aluminum platform with easy access to build and expansion SMC. MB4560A/M - Aluminum Breadboard, 450 mm x 600 mm x 12.7 mm, 100 mm Access Hole, M6 Taps.all common engineering materials expand when heated, but many will be surprised at the effect that this expansion can have on the repeatability of precision positioning equipment. Since so many positioners use a lead screw as their measuring element, let's consider a 150 mm long stainless steel lead screw in a first pass analysis of thermal expansion. With a coefficient of linear thermal expansion of 17.3 x 10-6 m/mC, what would happen to the length of the lead screw if it underwent a 5C temperature change.

SMC MXS20L-150 cyl, slide table, MXS/MXJ GUIDED CYLINDER

Applications that call for precise movement ranging from 10-150mm * typically require a cylinder and a precision guide. The MXS accomplishes this by integrating a cross roller bearing with a guide and two small air cylinders for compact force generation. The MXS is available in six sizes each with set stroke lengths and is standard with auto switch capability. Stroke adjustments are available for extend, retract, or both in ranges of 0-5mm, 0-15mm, and 0-25mm. In addition, there are many other standard options that include, shock absorbers, end lock, axial piping, and buffer.
