The Keysight Agilent HP 3325B provides the frequency accuracy, resolution, and stability that are ideal for applications such as crystal filter test, multiplexed communication system testing, clock/timing simulation and audio frequency system testing. Exceptionally linear triangles and ramp signals are produced with synthesized accuracy and stability for applications such as VCO testing or process control. The DC-to-21 MHz frequency range (sine) makes the Keysight Agilent HP 3325B ideal for high-performance video system testing. Pure sine waves or high quality squarewaves can be combined with up to 5V of DC offset to interface with biased circuits or for stimulus in digital environments. In modulation applications, this model provides the carrier for a modulation source, or use the internal modulation source to get modulated signals from the generator alone.
The Agilent / HP 3325B offers true synthesizer performance for demanding applications. Testing is made fast and efficient in general purpose applications whether on the bench or in ATE systems.
The Agilent / HP 3325B provides frequency range of the sinewave output 1 micro Hz to 20.999 MHz with resolution of 1 micro Hz. A sync/Trigger output provides TTL compatible signals with micro Hz resolution from DC to 60 MHz. The Agilent / HP 3325B is also a high-performance function generator, providing a variety of waveforms with synthesizer accuracy and precision. Square waves are available to 10.999 MHz, with 20 ns rise and fall times. Triangles and positive and negative ramps are provided with 0.05% linearity up to 10.999 kHz. All waveforms can be DC and phase offset to match the requirements of the circuit under test.
The Agilent / HP 3325B frequency domain is determined by a precision frequency reference and can be set with a resolution of 1 micro Hz. It has up to -65 dBc harmonic and -70 dBc spurious levels for precision measurements. The phase of the resolution, and multiple Agilent / HP 3325Bs can be locked together for multi-phase applications. The modulation source can be used as an arbitrary function generator via HP-IB, providing user-defined wave shapes. This feature makes the Agilent / HP 3325B one of the most versatile sources for bench or ATE system applications. Save-recall capability includes 10 nonvolatile memory locations for simple and rapid access to frequently used test ups. The enhanced feature set of the Agilent / HP 3325B includes 100-segment discrete sweep capability which allows arbitrarily defined multi segment linear or stepped sweeps and tone sequences. This complements its linear and log, phase continuous sweep capability.
The Agilent / HP 3325B is fully programmable through GPIB and RS-232, making it a natural choice for automated test systems. Both interfaces and all inputs and outputs are floating (isolated from chassis ground) to minimize ground loops and offer maximum flexibility in configuring a solution to your measurement needs. All functions, including frequency, amplitude, phase, modulation, sweep and waveshapes, are programmable via HP-IB or RS-232 interface. The Agilent / HP 3325B is fully compatible in form, fit and function with the Agilent / HP 3325A. All HP-IB programs written for the Agilent 3325A are fully compatible with the HP 3325B.
