The GE Wave Bag Bioreactor 20/50EH is a flexible design built ideal for cell culturing, protein manufacturing, CHO cells, vaccination production along with various applications. This modular design consists of a base rocker and various integral options suitable for the culture of multiple cell lines. Using patented wave cell bags, the risk of cross-contamination is eliminated, and the tray can be changed between 20 and 50-liter capacity. The system also comes with a lid to safeguard the Wave Cellbags from getting punctured while in operation. The handy touch screen controller allows users to set their desired temperature, time, and rocking speed.
The size of the cell bag used determines the optimal speed ranges but typically, a rocking rate of 25 to 40 rocks per minute will satisfy most mixing requirements.
The benchtop design makes for easy access and convenient control. The heater range can be set between 10 above ambient to 50C, making it ideal for thawing frozen materials and warming blood and other biological fluid, or maintaining temperatures during pooling operations. The rocking angle can be set between 2-10. Using pre-sterilized, single-use cell bag bioreactors to protect from risk of cross-contamination, no cleaning, and involve minimal validation & ready-to-use format. The systems are capable of handling culture volumes from 100 mL to 20 L depending on the tray used and allow you to control the degree of angle, rocking speed, and heater temperature through easy-to-read, digital control screens.
