ImmunoSpot Analyzers are designed to acquire high-quality digital images of individual wells from a wider range of microtiter plate formats. These image files can be subsequently analyzed in a fully automated high-throughput manner using CTL's revolutionary ImmunoSpot software.
The S6 Macro Analyzer is capable of reading all standard 6 to 384 well microtiter plates as well as standard 60 and 100mm petri dishes, in a fully automated fashion. In doing so, it saves digital images of each well as well as an overview of the entire plate. For further analysis, the data can be saved on a local high-capacity hard drive or onto another location on one's local area network, such as a file server or another ImmunoSpot workstation. Addition backup copies can be kept on CD-or DVD-writable media.
The S6 Macro model consists primarily of a host computer and an image acquisition unit (IAU). Plates are loaded into the IAU, which contains the motorized stage, camera, and other hardware needed for acquiring well images. The instrument can scan both standard microtiter plates and Petri dishes.
The ImmunoSpot S6 Macro Analyzer also provides numerous addition features, such as the options of automatic illumination, automatic calibration and automatic well-centering (i.e., auto-centering) during the plate scanning process. These features help reduce the risk of losing well segments resulting from irregularities in the plate manufacturing process.
