The Spectronic Genesys 5 UV/Visible Spectrophotometer is an easy-to-use, UV-Visible wavelength spectrophotometer designed for quantitative measurements in:

Industrial quality control and research laboratories, including food and beverage, chemical and pharmaceutical applications
Academic research and teaching laboratories
Environmental laboratories, including water and wastewater applications

The GENESYS5 spectrophotometer performs absorbance, % transmittance and concentration measurements within the wavelength range of 200 to 1100 nanometers. The instrument offers:
Control and operation of all accessories
Microprocessor-controlled 8-Position Multi-Cell Holder for increased productivity
Automatic wavelength calibration on power-up to ensure the instrument is operating properly
Split-beam optical system for stable measurements

The GENESYS 5:
Accepts Application and Memory SoftCards for running applications programs and manipulating data
Supports external devices, such as a printer, plotter or computer
Automatically prints data to the internal printer or to an external printer

TheGENESYS 5 offers the following standard features:
Graphic LCD (40 columns x 16 lines, backlit) display for easy data plotting, test set-up and instrument status information; monochrome display
Tactile keyboard with audible response so you know when a key has been completely pressed
Two card slots for SoftCards (Application and Memory) to increase the test and storage capability of the instrument
Built-in RS232C and Centronics-compatible ports to support a wide range of output devices
