FEATURES:
The Hewlett Packard HP 6890 Series gas chromatograph is an advanced chemical analysis instrument designed to separate and identify individual components of a complex mixture. Its operation is based on the interaction of a vaporized sample with a stationary phase contained within a column. The sample is injected into the system and transported through the column by a continuous flow of carrier gas (the mobile phase). Due to their different physical and chemical properties, the various components of the mixture move at different speeds, selectively interacting with the stationary phase. This process allows each component to exit the column at a distinct time, known as retention time, enabling precise analysis of the sample composition.
