Very good condition Marcy Ball Mill, previously in limestone slurry service at a major power plant.
Mill was highly maintained as the lime slurry was required to meet emissions limits, and if the slurry
wasn’t available a 1200 megawatt plant would have to be shut down.
The complete mill system is included in this offer, and it was recently professionally dismantled and shipped.
There are two identical mills being offered, this is the less updated of the pair (the other is listed separately).
The bull gear and pinion gear are in good usable condition but show some wear.
The rubber liners and lifters are in fair condition, and were in regular production when de-commissioned.
Likewise the inlet and outlet trommel liners show wear but are usable as-is.
There are new gears, rubber mill liners, and trommel liners available as additional purchases.
If all of these were purchased and installed the mill would be in near-new condition for the processing section..
The drive system starts with a 700 HP motor driving a reduction gearbox connected to the pinion gear through
a hydraulic clutch, controlled by a power pack. The bearings are pressure-lubricated with a pre-lift system for start-up.
Bearing surfaces and bearing shells are in excellent condition and ready for service.
There is approximately 40 tons of high chrome ball charge in 2” and 3” sizes included with the sale.
