Description

This is a portable parallel flow, diesel fired dryer with pulse jet baghouse.

The size of the burner (40MMbtu), drum and baghouse would indicate that plant was originally designed to produce 50-100tph of Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA).

This is considered a small portable plant. The Hauck diesel fuel burner was the industry standard in 1978 and is still widely used today.

The Dusty Dustless Inc. pulsejet portable baghouse is of same vintage.

Fan size shows it to be about 25,000cfm. The Twin City fan has been replaced at some point. Pulsejet baghouses of this type are still considered the industry standard. 60hp fan w/ damper air flow control.

Control house/trailer and MCC are original to 1978 build.
