Description

This is a fully automatic back-flushing filtration with Carbon unit with five support tubes made of CPVC, which is surrounded by a polypropylene sleeve held in place by O-rings. The normal filter flow is from the processing tank, through the pump, into the chamber and through the sleeves and support tubes. Contaminants are left on the outside surface of the sleeve as the solution continues up the tube to the discharge outlet and back to the processing tank, anytime pressure reaches the backwash set-point, the back flushing starts and finish in 5 minutes. The carbon is in-series with filter unit if one chooses to for final treatment. These units were purchase over $35,000.00 back in 2003 and used for couple years before the plant shut down and stored since then, These units was manufactured by Global Filtration System, the manuals are available.

What's the capacity of this unit ( how many gallons per minute of water ) ?

HI: The flow rate capacity is proportional to solid content of the solution, so lower the TSS the higher flow rate, the system is there to handle up to 100 GPM. Thanks
