Ponzini distillation plant for the production of distilled water for injectable use by thermocompression.

MAIN FEATURES:
The process of the distillation by thermocompression is based on the evaporation of a boiling liquid at a temperature of about 102/104°C and on raising the temperature of the steam produced up to 130/140°C, through the mechanical action of an aspirator/compressor. The compressed steam, pushed into an environment with a lower temperature than its own, condenses, transferring the vaporization calories to the liquid contained in the boiler. This evaporates in an amount equal to that of the vapor which condenses; in this way the latent heat is recovered as a source of heating for another liquid close to boiling. These distillers are able to supply water for injections with a very high degree of chemical and biological purity which can then be used for the preparation of injectable solutions. The main advantages are: ascent speed of the steam produced, elimination of steam entrainments, protection from pollution. Highly efficient, non-condensable gases removal thanks to the hydrostatic column system downstream the still. Distilled water produced pressurized, not requiring any pressurizing system. Atmospheric pressure operation: no need for pressure vessel certification.
